Green/Spriggs Field Trip

The Ladies Green and the Ladies Spriggs + Connor went to Kid Concepts USA in Torrance today. It's a huge indoor playground with all kinds of fun stuff to climb on and play with. Despite Connor being bit by a little girl about 15 minutes into the fun, the kids all good time. Yes, Connor was bit by some little girl who just turned 2 and according to her mom "had never done this before". Uh-huh. A likely story.

Connor was being a big boy and climbing on the big kid stuff. However, he got a little stuck coming down. Here he is hanging in contemplation trying to figure out how to get down.

Here he is on the big kid slide. I think it was a little faster than he imagined, but it was a must try since Norah and Camryn were pros.

This was a Dance Dance Revolution-type game so naturally Connor was a fan being the dancer that he is.

Camryn's Birthday, Take 3

Camryn's "official" birthday party was at the El Capitan in Hollywood on Sunday. Her and 9 friends saw the Tinkerbell movie and then had a party. It was fantastic. I didn't have to do a thing and the girls (and Connor) had a great time.

The kids were finding the hidden fairies from the movie in the decorations.

Connor enjoyed his ice cream sundae

Connor made off with all of the party balloons. What a cute little thief.

The girls getting ready to watch the movie.

The aftermath. Cake, ice cream, all of her friends, running around, presents, Tinkerbell. It was all too much to take in one afternoon. This is her waking up in our driveway after not even making it out of the parking garage at the theater awake.

Gettin' Older

I guess it means we are in our 30's when we go to our 10 year college reunion. We visited the home of the Lions on Saturday (well, I guess the new home of the Lions since we were in University Hall). There was a buffet with no food, expensive water and fake gambling. But really, it was a lot of fun and was nice to get out of the house with something other than sweats on and see everyone.

Sarah, you are a delicate flower.

Camryn's Birthday, Take 2

The Spriggs, Grandma Patti, Great-Grandma Betty, Ralph and Nolan spent Friday roasting in the Anaheim sun at Disneyland. Despite the heat, we all had a good time.

Connor posing with the aliens from Toy Story.

Nolan and Camryn saying goodbye before Nolan left. He wasn't too happy to leave, but he was deleriously tired and fell asleep sitting on Ralph's neck about 2 minutes after we said goodbye.

Great-Grandma Betty with Camryn after she went on Space Mountain for the first time. She wasn't making this face because of the ride, it was her being forced to take a picture face.

Camryn talked Nolan into going on Matterhorn. They both enjoyed it.

The grandmas and Connor on Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters.

I know I've written this before, but Camryn and Nolan are so cute together. Nolan even brought his Lego gun to "protect Camryn from bad guys".

Don't they look like they're in a catalog or something? I love the hand in the pocket.

Ted and Ralph shared a moment in the Snow White ride.

Camryn's Birthday, Take 1

Besides her fake birthday party last weekend, (I won't go into details, but Ted and I tricked her into thinking that her birthday was last Saturday for our own gain) Camryn had lots of celebrations for her 4th birthday. These pictures are from our Emerson class (like a Mommy and Me) last Thursday.

Visit with the Audet's

We visited Amanda, Aidan and little Addison this week. It was a great visit and Camryn loved being the boss. The boys seemed to do whatever she wanted them to while they were playing. Here is a picture of Aidan and Connor playing.

Kayla's Birthday

Saturday was Kayla's birthday party. It was a lot of fun complete with snow cones, a giant bouncy house, a pinata, cupcakes and lots of boats going past that the kids really enjoyed. Poor Kayla had a bouncy house-related injury that prevented her from enjoying everything, but she sure perked up when it was time for presents and cupcakes.

Here are the kids enjoying the spoils of the pinata. Ted said they look like the "Little Rascals".

Max, Connor and Kayla enjoying their lollipops

Nolan came up to me and said "Kelli, can you take my picture?". Of course I obliged and here he is posing with his sword.

Camryn and Nolan are just too cute together.

Come on, look at him making her laugh. Too cute.

Samson and Connor decided to hang out after the group picture taking session was over.

Ralph opted to hang out on the hammock with Mason. Don't they look like there on vacation? Really, it's just Terminal Island.

Puss N' Boots

This is Connor's "Puss N' Boots" face (Camryn calls it his pouty face and enjoys imitating it). To be fair, when he's really got it going the lower lip is fully jutted out along with the droopy, watery eyes. It's very hard to say "no" to (especially for Daddy) and it's also very hard not to laugh every time because he is genuinely upset at whatever is happening which is usually one of us yelling at him to stop throwing something. He really has it down to an art. We're holding our ground and staying tough, though.

No Fair Weather Fans Here

The A's may be 21 1/2 games out of first place in their division, but that won't stop Connor from showing his support.
