Swimming Along
Today was Camryn's first swim lesson at the fancy pool at LMU. I was really impressed with her. She went right in with the teacher and actually listened to all of the instructions. May I just add that they were the only ones in the giant pool at 10am, but there were 4 girls who "worked" there as lifeguards who literally were laying out by the pool and getting paid. Where was that job when I was redoing the whole filing system in the Continuing Education department because the previous work study students didn't know the alphabet and getting paid $5.00 per hour?

Baby's First Movie
We had a pretty busy week. Ted went to Camryn's school for their end of the year picnic. We didn't tell her he was coming and she was so excited when she saw him through the window. We also had a nice little Saturday at the beach watching Ted play volleyball. I would have loved to show our blog fans some pictures, but when I took the camera out the battery was dead. After the beach we went to see Kung Fu Panda. The kids did great (after we let Connor run around the theater lobby until he was ready to pass out before the movie). It was a bit more violent than I would have cared for (who knew Kung Fu was so violent?), but it was really cute. Connor fell asleep toward the end and here he is asleep on Ted. Someday we'll tell him how the movie ended.

Kids and Cats
Here is Connor playing with Chula. Well, Connor is playing and Chula is tolerating.

This is Connor "kissing" Chula. When you ask him to give something a kiss he leans his forehead in. It's quite cute.

Camryn in one of her ball gowns (I guess in case the prince comes knocking on her door she'll be ready) petting Chula.

More Fun with Friends
Friends By the Fire
We Spriggs hosted a BBQ last weekend with the Villafana Family and the Nadsady family. Here is everyone by the campfire in our back yard, including 2 princesses (Prince Connor and Princess Maria were already asleep in their castles). Notice the laughter. Ted had once again slipped into conversation some sort of antecdote from his adventures at the Playboy Mansion the night before. He really wouldn't let us forget where he was while the rest of us sat at home with our children.

The girls were getting a little wild so it was time to settle down in front of our dear friend, "Stevie the TV" (his friend "Stevo the Tivo also helped out)

Giddy-Up
My friend Theresa and I took our girls to a 5K walk benefitting the Westchester Public schools on Saturday. The girls had a lot of fun at the coloring table and riding the stinky ponies. It was at LMU which was nice (jealous, Heather?).

Camryn ran into a friend from school so they rode the ponies at the same time.

Cute cowgirls.
She claimed she liked riding the ponies and did it twice, but the look on her face wasn't too convincing. This was as close to a smile we got through both rides.
